Let’s be honest, the seasonal events calendar for sporting clubs and community based organisations (even businesses for that matter) is always a full one. As much as you’d  like to host every event at your ‘home ground’ some just don’t work or fit – and members do deserve a chance to buy a drink or grab a meal from a different bar or kitchen once in a while.

This is where  ‘The Meadows Conference and Events Centre’ can come to the fore.
We’re a venue that can host both small intimate gatherings and large scale blockbusters, that give your members and guests more than they’d expect.

You can even choose to run your event on a Saturday Race Night and build in Race Sponsorships, a Slot Race Competition or run a Punters Club with a guest host. The options are wide and anything is possible!

The easiest and best way to entertain a group here at The Meadows

Looking to entertain a group? Why not join us in the City View Bistro or book The Deck on a Saturday Race Night. We cater for groups of diners and have ready to roll Race Night Packages. Download the brochure to see what we offer and how you can easily build a great night out for your group.

These Packages are for group bookings of 25 or more. There are set courses, as well as all-inclusive beverage packages to choose from. The Race Night Packages Brochure offers a helpful diagram to construct the ideal package for you.

Dining with three and half hours of beverages start from only $85 per person. We also have a number of private rooms and spaces that can be specifically tailored to provide you a night of dining and entertainment at The Meadows beyond race night evenings.

How many times have you arrived at a location be to pleasantly surprised? This is a feeling that seems all too familiar to those who find themselves on the quiet and treelined boulevard that sends them along and into The Meadows Conference and Events Centre (MCEC).  

Our state-of-the venue that was purpose built to host large and small community events and Greyhound Races. It’s striking size and shape makes a wonderful first impression. Once inside similar grandeur helps present the premise of this place being more than you’d expect (especially for a venue in the suburbs of outer north-west Melbourne). 

When MCEC is not hosting greyhound race meets, it’s available for hire (as you already know). Offering a wide and varied range of spaces, including a 300 seat dining room with Melbourne city skyline views (perfect for an Annual Ball, Sports Club event, School Graduation or large conference) and a modern self-contained entertainment area with own bar and outdoor deck, it’s no wonder people are surprised when they are first shown around or visit as a guest. 

Another welcome surprise is that MCEC is run as a not-for-profit organisation. This allows great flexibility to host events that have value in mind and not someone’s hip pocket. Many businesses, organisations, schools and clubs have benefitted from MCECs generosity.
